  • Applications Running in GPU

I recently installed GeForce GTX 1070 and i notice a number of applications running
in GPU memory. Is that normal?
I also notice that IRP is rendering much faster than GPU, is these application slowing down my GPU?

    Thanks

      Hello,

The other applications shouldn't be much of a problem.

Looking at the screenshot it seems you have the "Track mouse while rendering" option enabled in the VFB. When enabled with progressive rendering (GPU is also progressive) - V-Ray will focus rendering only under your mouse and and very few rays will go in other places. So if your mouse is in some edge of the image - the whole image will refine very slowly.

Could you try turning "Track mouse while rendering" OFF to see if the speed changes ?

      Best regards,
