Aerial perspective with HDRI

Hi,

aerial perspective need sun/sky system, so it not render with hdri as dome light only, right? Is there any workaround to make it work with standard HDRI lighting?

You can put sun where sun is in IBL and then set its value to 0.0001. Or even maybe disable not sure... I'm using aerial with IBL/other textures most of the time. It would probably be good if we can specify which node aerial is using for its sun...

Yea I can confirm. You can place sun where IBL is and then untick "enabled" and it will work.

I tried it and it didnt work. Its add haze to object, but lighting is weird. When affect environemtn rays is ticked, it loses sharp edge from HDRI. If I disable it, it has this sharp edge shadow, but whole image is wrong. And it didnt ad that haze to background what is needed. What is your setup exactly please? Or can you upload some simple scene of light settings and aerial please?

On a side note I'm blending IBL + vray sun and sky + Aerial. Looks amazing. Awesome control over the sky. I can add clouds and details keep vray generic sun sky for source of lights and so on. All good so far.

That sounds great, can you show some examples? When you say you can add clouds do you mean clouds that are in the HDRI/IBL?
