    Hello

While I've read several articles on Adaptive Lights, like the one on ChaosGroup Lab or on Dabarti's website, I still have difficulties to understand how to set efficiently the Adaptive Lights value. In a nutshell, our agency works on shops design, and we have -most of time- pretty complex scenes, with many objects and many lights ... let's say we have 200 lights in a scene, how can we decide if Adaptive Lights value should be set at 12 or 36 or 52 or whatever ?
The documentation doesn't help much on that point neither ...

Thanks a lot for any help you could provide me. We've just deployed v3.5, and I want to get the best out of it

    Regards.

In general, the algo is well tuned at its defaults, and there should be no need to change a thing.
In fact, should you see artefacts in a render, it pays to raise the LC subdivs, before raising AL count, particularly with a high light count (say, 40+).
An LC to 2 or 3k subdivs will generally solve all and any issues, besides accelerating further the final rendering.

Hi Lele - thanks for your answer. That helps .... a bit
I'll find some time to give AL a serious try with one of our "many-lights-projects" ! I'll report problems here if I get ones.
