  • best way for animation

With all the new features and improvements made to vray can some tell me, is the best way to do a animation still BF and LC?

I have animated camera with characters walking within the space.

I am wondering if progressive and the de-noiser would work?

    Thanks

I would use BF+LC, yes. Depending on the type of scene, you might need to boost LC settings a but (subdivs to 2000-3000 and retrace to 6.0-8.0).

Progressive will work fine, for the denoiser you will get better results if you generate all the denoiser REs, but use the standalone vdenoise tool to denoise the entire animation once it's rendered.

    Best regards,

      Thanks Vlad,

I am not familiar with the standalone vdenoise tool? I assume I can just get info on that in the docs?

Yes, everything you need should be in the docs. If you have any questions, ask.

Lele also posted a MaxScript for denoising animations through the command-line tool here:
