  • Render time (min)

Shouldn't that default be something other than 1? it has bitten me several times. I'll hit render, walk away just to come back to 1 minute worth of progressive render. Also, I noticed that the 'ShadeContext in camera space' is still checked by default, which gives the error in the V-Ray Frame Buffer.

We could set it to 0, I guess?

That's what I would think, but that is just my opinion.

yeh if the goal is to do as little effort to show the best image, i think 0 would be best

Ok, will look into it. Btw it is possible to save your own default values for the renderer settings if you save a V-Ray preset with the name "default" - it will be loaded any time the V-Ray renderer is created/reset. You can only select some of the parameters to be saved into the preset (f.e. only the progressive sampler parameters).

          Best regards,

Sweet! I've seen that button 100 times, never explored it. Thanks for the tip.

Same! I'm pretty excited about it. Already made a few tweaks to the system menu.
