The forum has always used unencrypted http protocol, thus the forum connection has never been secure. We are looking to move to https when we update to vbulletin 5 a bit later on. I'm not sure why Firefox suddenly decided to warn you about this, but it's not due to any changes to the forum.

Thanks for the input. This scary warning started popping up on insecure websites as soon as I got the latest update of Firefox. Before this update I was never that drastically warned of insecure connections. Looks like Firefox wanted to make it much more in-your-face than before that the connection might be compromised.Aleksandar Mitov

It's not just Firefox. Google recently made this change in Chrome as well. And Chrome's update is targeting any site that takes payments of any kind or has login forms. So this will also affect the Chaos Group forums further.
