  • Mesh Object VS Poly Object - Render Speed?

    Hi all

I remember a few years ago, for viewport speed, it was recommended to convert all Mesh Objects to Poly Objects. That's great for viewport speed, but what about rendering with V-Ray?
Does it make any difference whatsoever for rendering speed, to convert everything to poly from mesh?

    (I'm not talking about proxies)
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

It doesn't make any difference if you use meshes or poly objects.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

it's the other way round. mesh is faster than poly for viewport, you also get a slightly smaller file size.

In my tests with the type of objects I deal with, poly is MUCH faster in viewport than mesh
