  • Light is not going through glass.

I am testing vray demo on an architectural interior scene. I have made the windows glass (vraymat, and egzglass) and that makes them transparent but the light from outside does not shine through the window (direct illumination). It does when I turn the glass off, just not when it is on. Can someone please help with explaining all the settings to get this to work or post a simple model (box, with a window) to show the settings?

    Thanks.

(edit) I finally have a working material. I used a standard material, made it 99% transparent, and applied a vray material wrapper. I also am using a standard max direct light with inverse square decay, and vrayshadows. No caustics. These settings also appear to work with egzGlass. I think the key was to have the decay set.
