  • denoising efficiency?

    Hi

anyone experienced with denoiser in animations?

I did a testrender using standard settings plus anim extras lightcache / retrace boost ) with noise set to 0,05. Then denoiser set to strong and the result was pretty stunning. Ok, some surfaces seems a bit soft but clients products look the same so im thinking if this will work ?
If i bump up the noisequality more the rendertimes multiplies per unit.

how would this work in a flythrough animation ? The cabinet will move up and down.

Used it for a 5 min interior animation not so long ago.
Was excellent and saved weeks of rendering time, I just used the single pass denoise that it does at the end of every frame. I guess you could save all the elements instead and denoise in post for extra control.

separate pasess denoised for interior animation, 3 frames blended, used Lele's tool.
hd res, 3-5minutes per frame on 1060.

wow that?s fast. Gpu render you mean ? I?ve got a 1080 but have only had problems with gpu rendering...

Where can I get Lele?s denoiser tool?

heh, 3-5 mins is just denoising.
link was somewhere on the forum.

I recently rendered some animation samples on 1070.
from the frame you posted (kitchen) I would guess 30mins per frame max on 1080 in hd.

I dived into the problem again and this time everything worked out fine after I removed 3 laubwerk trees. My kichenscene rendered out good in 15m / frame. That is very good news !! Lights are a bit weird though. Takes a bit of learning / adapting I guess ?

Ok that seems a bit more realistic

Yep, some differences could be quite normal / expected.
