  • Metaballs and VRayParticleTex

Is there a way to control the blend distance when using VRayParticleTex? I tried pulling it through a PhoenixFD Particle Texture, but all I get is black.

Could you give us more details on what are you trying to achieve and what exactly are you trying to blend.

It's pretty much a modified beer bottle condensation pflow, but I need the dripping particles (which spawn a trail) to change color based on their age or distance they have travelled. Then I need that color transferred to the metaballs. The end result would look like a long drip, green at the top to blue at the bottom.

It currently just seems to blend from one event to the next. Which is why I was trying out the Phoenix texture...hoping it would allow some control in the blend distance
