      Hi there,

It could be, that your "Exit Color" of the material is not black
or the "Override Reflection/Refraction" option in the renderer/environment
rollout is active and not set to black.
Also check that there is no map active in the "environment" slot of your material

        hi samuel,
thank u for the fast replay.

        the exit color is black.
the override refraction/reflection is on with an hdri.
the max enviroment is a gradient blue color.

have you any other suggest to help me?

        thank a lot

          that´s the problem !

the refraction is taken from the hdri wich is probabely not blue
like the bakground. If you want to avoid this, you have to
synchronize the background color with the overwrite reflection/refraction
          option.

          What you can do:

          1.

Instead of rendering this in front of just a background map, add a box
or plane behind the scene, and texture it with a blue gradient
          map like the background.
If there is an object behind your glass, the override option will not
produce such a strong effect in the refraction. (but it will still be visible on the edges)

          2.

          Create a shellac material.
Take the base material just for refraction
and the shellac just for reflection.
Use different "environment" maps in these two materials
the hdr for the environment map in the base material
and the blue gradient for the environment of the shellac mat.

              I would say it´s more a feature

It just gives you the option to override your raytrace environment
wich means that there is just another background reflected/refracted
than specified in the max environment. And this can lead to the effect
              seen in your pic.

But it would be nice to have this option splitted into
              "override reflection" and "override refraction"

              cheers

                hi samuel
it would be nice to have the max background like a simple image...so i could see through the glass my background.....nothing special.

                bye

that´s excatelly what vray does. As long as you do not activate
the override option like crilux did.
If crilux would just turn off the override option, the refraction would look
immediately like expected, but the beautiful reflections from the hdr
                  would be gone as well...

yes, I know but I'd like to have both that work together because I'd like tohave reflections and refractions from hdri but another image for the background (as crilux).

                    bye
