  • Vray/max materials...

    Can anybody help..

I´m not yet an expert at Vray - but trying to improve my skills from day to day...
Can anyone explain to me what exactly the difference is (when using Vray) on using max materials and Vray materials ?

Does it give better rendering results using Vray materials ? And if it is, how do you convert your max materials to Vray materials ?

This might be a very banal question - but I just don´t get it !

Thanx in advance - and thanx for a great forum ! Stay good,

the vray material is alot like the raytrace material. Its the connection to the raytracer. Using vray materials instead of max materials will also speed things up quite a bit. Dont think youll find much change in quality though. Best place to look is the manual and www.vray.info

    hope that helps,

Thanx percydaman.. Yeah - I´ll have to look into the manual about this !

So it´s mostly the speed that´s the twist and not the quality.. thanx for the info !!!!
