  • Help on proxy

Hey everyone, I've tried to play around with vray proxy. But got weird results. Im wondering what is the procedure for its use? i got a 3 million model fully textured and I tried exporting it to proxy but when it comes in the shaders are all messed up so Im wondering if some one can explain to me the work flow.
    Thanks.

a proxies best use would be on something that you would have replicated alot in the scene. like some plants furniture or something like that. it makes sure the model is not in the scene using up your ram. its only loaded into the scene when rendering. so if a scene is 100mb large because its got 1000 theater chairs in it. you can get it really low by having proxie chairs
