YES, BUT YOU NEED TO COPY YOUR MAX DIR SO THAT YOU HAVE TWO MAX INSTALLATIONS, THEN YOU CAN INSTALL A DIFFERENT VRAY IN EACH

oh, and don't shout, it's annoying.

            And install vray bata

            DLL VRender6.0.dlr failed to initialize
Error code 127 - the specified procedure could no be found

Open plugin.ini in your new max dir and update the paths so that they are correct for the new max copy.

I dont know if this is possible, but with Archtectural Desktop you are able to make a shortcut with different properties in the shortcut path. Is it possible to have max load a different ini file using 2 different shortcuts? This way one ini can have the path of the plugins that has vray 1.09, and another with 1.45? This way you dont have to copy the max directory.

VRay installs several files to the max root, so you can't do it that way. It works for other renderer plug-ins though. Not sure why VRay need to be installed at the max root.

I've just copied the Max 7 folder (now called '3dsmax7beta') and replaced all the references to '3dsmax7' with '3dsmax7beta' in both the 3dsmax.ini and plugin.ini

When I launch this new version, I get lots of Loading Plugins warnings - I think they are all duplicate plug-in path warnings.

                      Am I doing something wrong?
                      Kind Regards,
