  • Funny blotch on a frame

Can anyone help me stop these blotches appear on an animation I am rendering? I have precalculated the irradiance map (every 5 frames) and the irradiance map is on medium animation.

How come Psychics have to ask for your name?

No. This is frame 102 with the map being calculated every 5th frame.

Maybe is a bug. Which vers did you use_?

Try to render that frame as single frame without saved irmap. If that black remains there is a bug (or modeling problem), if not your irmap is not good. Dont have any other ideea.

          hi guys
can you please tell me how is this saving to irradiance map working. is it faster to always save it when your doing still renderings in the same floor of a building and different kind of interior views?
also is this better o save irr map and then do the animation?
          please help

yes its better to have one machine render out the irrad map first. then you can use backburner and netrender the anim out using multiple machines.

try changing the look up method on the irradiance map. i had something like that once.

As Da_elf suggested, try a different look-up method for the irradiance map. The black areas occur because that particular spot is not covered well by the precomputed map.
