Good point Spinoza... I will try to restrain myself more. It is hard not to do want to say anything.... and with an avitar like that, he is just asking for it.

You only need multiple licenses of both if you have more than one user doing the work.

For those of you who have access to the internal builds on our site, there is a new build, VRay 1.46.01 for 3dsmax 4/5/6 (max7 version coming soon), with DR and all. Be sure to read the What's new section in the help index for more information.

                Best regards,
                Vlado

DOH! I guess I am not one of those with access to internal builds...

                    Looks pretty sweet though.

                    • What ever happen to the email notice for new releases and stuff. I used to get them when new versions were downloadable.

                      • They are still sent out for major new releases I think. But probably not for the betas.

                          • As i understood, new rendertime meshsmooth is analogue of PRMan subdivision surfaces? If so, will be some variable creases support implemented?

                            • I'm very please to hear about this. I was pretty disapointed by the distributed rendering found in finalRender Stage-1. It was not easy to setup, start up, get running, or keep running. Also the gains in performance were less than sensational. One of the reasons why I went after the Advanced Licence was the hope of better distributed rendering. I am looking forward to it.

                              • The new DR is very fast. I've been using max's strip rendering and there is no comparison between the two. Great job Chaos!! It took a while, but it was definetly worth the wait!

I think even Long John, will be happy with this.
