  • VRMAP with a network render

    Hope this is possible:

I sent 4 single frame render jobs to our render farm last night. I have come in this morning, and the VRMAPs have been calculated, but the actual renders are only part of the way through.

Is there any way to 'grab' the calculated IRMAP so that I can restart the job, but perhaps lower the AA settings to speed up the render? I've done a scan on each of the render slave drives, and I can't find and *.vrmap files. If I cancel the jobs, will I not loose the calculated VRMAPs?

    HELP!
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

Natty - I emailed Vlado and he tells me what I want to do is impossible. Apparently the IRmaps are saved in memory, and once the job is cancelled, memory will be cleared.

      Oh well.

why didnt you hit ....DO NOT RENDER FINAL IMAGE ?
I do actually need the images rendered - I just thought I could reduce the AA settings to speed up the renders a bit.
