  • Irr Map over the network...!

I'm computing the irr map for 10000 frames (every 40)...
I really can't understand why vray crashes after a few frames.
On the slaves PC I have no problem, it crashes only on the workstations, with "incremental".
Question: is it possible to render sigle irr maps over the network, with backburner, and then merge them with the "irradiance map viewer"?

    Thenk's a lot!

Daniele, yes it is possible to create multiple irr map files, and merge them with the viewer, but i haven't tried it myself...

No idea why it's crashing when you try to create the irr map over the network though.

You can only do the irr on one machine, but if you split your ani up into 2000 frame blocks, and create 5 different irr maps, and try to merge them, that might work..

    good luck

      Hi Daniele.

is it maybe a gibabyte switch problem on your computer ?

hmm i think we allready saved it over backburner. just point to a computer with all nessesair settings, and also point the place the i-map should be saved.

by the way, the new vray build allows dr i-map calculation over network for single frame. dont know how it works with incremental.
