  • Question 2 - light emitting mesh/objects in VRay possible?

Is it possible to achieve a neon light effect within VRay? I know Brazil can do it and I think even the Max scanline and Radiosty renderer can set objects and meshes to emit light - but can I do this in VRay too?

e.g. create a logo using a mesh or whatever, then set the mesh to emit light from it's self?

Any help on this matter would be appreciated cos I can't seem to find anything about it

in 1.09 use a max material with self illumination, or use EGZ's light material (available at www.vray.info)

in 1.45.70b just use the new vray light material

just use max own shader, blinn will do but use the same diffuse, ambient, also illum. colour, use vray and GI on, turned off default light, play the 2nd bounce a bit, and you'll have it (sorry if i'm wrong but i always do that).
Use no light or turned off all light.
