Anyone with R7 who can compare a simple GI scene and post rendertimes on VRay vs MentalRay? It's said that Mental have faster GI know when it's fully integrated into MAX

I need good arguments to keep using VRay, not everybody here are convinced.

Network rendering with mr is a big and expensive issue. You need a standalone license of mr for each cpu on the network. You get a "deal" if you purchase 10 - but that would still be around $10,000 USD.

That might make a difference to the people making the purchasing decisions in your company.

Pretty sure that you get a "free" license of MR for every Max license that you have. Not sure if this applies to DR licenses, but it may.

You need a stand alone licenese for DR.
