Morning all. Thanks to everyone who answered my question the other day about blotchy renders - you answers all helped and now the scene looks fine - not rendered all the shots out yet though, but it's ready and waiting to go over the weekend.
Anyway, new problem you can hopefully help out on please...
The black blobs shouldn't be there It's a frame from a flythrough animation - I set it off calculating the IRMap last night and the whole scene is fine, except for the bits you can see where black blobs have appeard. It's the same on every frame where this part of the scene is visible, not a one off. My guess is that the geometry here is more detailed than the rest of the scene and somehow messed up the map?
Do I have to calculate the whole IRMap again, or can I just re-render a few frames in this area with higher IR settings to get rid of the blobs?
settings...
The scene is lit with VRay lights mainly (sphere), but the bit you can see here is lit with a spotlight casting vray shadows.
Again, any help appreciated.
If I need to calculate the whole IR map again I will, but I'd rather not It's a 750 frame animation, I set the IR map calculating every 12 frames of it and it took over 3 hours. That's not long but I'd prefer not to have to use another 3 hours (or more if I need to raise the IR settings) of computer time. Deadlines looming!
Cheers
