Moving License

Ask many times before but I need a correct answer:

1. We have to move several Licence to new computer (inkl. Max). How can we do this with Vray?

2. How long does it take to get a new Licence?

3. Is weekend critical? (would be the best time for us)

4. Is Vray licence Max based or System based?

5. If I get a new Max licence or Move it is Vray still working?

VRay version?

The VRay license for 1.09.03 is tied to the max license file. So for 1.09.03 just move the max license with the Autodesk PLU. Then authorize VRay again on the new computer using the same key you got from Chaos the first time.

For 1.45.xx the license is tied to the machine acting as a license server. If you have the licenses on a separate server then just configure VRay to get the license from the correct IP. If the license server is locally on the workstations then you need to reauthorize.
