  • CA Scanline...

"For one of their actual projects, Scanline is developing a lot of tools for the simulation and rendering of all kinds of water effects. The whole production pipeline of their actual project is based on Implicit Surfaces and Volumetrics." Will the standalone version of V-Ray have anything to do with it? What about Maya exported files, the standalone version of V-Ray and CA Scanline?

im not sure what your asking? if your asking if there is a standalone with a maya connection all the info on that can be found in the announcement section. CA scanline doesnt mention anywhere in that little snippet you posted that they use the standalone. as far as i know its all done in max yet they have their own additional plugins which work with vray developed using the vray SDK

        Hi there,

I doubt one of this features will be inside vray or another renderer.
They have alot of great software ! But the only software/feature that is released to the public was the "Zauner Shader" inside FinalRender.. as far as I know (very good shader).
I hope so much I´m wrong at this point !

hmm.. maybe that´s why 1.5 is delayed... or did they really spend the last
half year to get DR to work ... <-- dreaming

        cheers
