  • Grass, NO not the kind you smoke!

Basicly I've got some grass and I've got "scatter" to multiply the strands of grass to 3ds max "max" of 65k. If I try to make another scatter and try to render it usually comes up with a warning or it crashes to desktop. Any clues Ideas? or is there a better way of making grass, and dont say shag fur

    thanks

its in the 1.45.xx test build. If your a vray advanced owner, you should be able to download it. go to create, and hit dropdown and choose vray. youll find vray proxy, vray fur there.

                try using shag: f........DOH!!!
                hahahah

Yeah go for the displacement trick, it works really well. Or you can try ornatrix http://www.ibmr.net/Ornatrix/ it does fairly decent grass.
For a recent project of mine i did use Shag: Fur and it did the job very well.

If you want some great grass textures for use with VrayDisplacement check out this link ^_^
