Interest on buying vray

I've sent an email to vray@chaosgroup.com and got no answer, so i'll try on this forum... here it goes:

Dear Sirs,

We're actually thinking on changing rendering system. We know that your render is very fast and has impressive results. So we want to know prices for licensing for workstations and render farms. We read some foruns and there are some doubts we have. What kind of support you have? What kind of documentation you supply?
We have Brazil, and we have online support (irc) and some good manuals and example files online. So, if we decide on changing rendering system, this can be essencial.

as for online support you can meet with alot of us on mirc in efnet at #vray or you can get tonnes of help here on the forum really quickly. the help file on their download page is up to date with the current versions and is constantly being updated with new features. there is no current hard copy of the help file.
there is a post in the "take5" section which is a bunch of scenes you can download and check how its put together. there are lots of tutorial files as well to be found on the forum as well as on the help file found in the download section.
note also that when you pay for a single liscence for 1 computer you can use that 1 computer to work on. but you can use a floating liscence to transfer the liscence over to other computers on your network to work from them. if you buy more than one liscence you can distribute them to the needed computers on the network.
Also note that with a single liscence you can have up to 10 computers working on a distributed render (all computers working on a single image) and this means unlimited processors. as many as you can get into 10 computers that is.
also note that with a single liscence you can have unlimited network rendering capabilities. (normal backburner rendering)

thanks... that helped for sure...

so, i'm convinced about material and support... i didn't understand this about license and floating license, etc.
What i need is... 2 to 3 workstation licenses and around 8 network licenses. So, basically, what "package" would i have to buy? 2 to 3 licenses so i can install in workstations and the network rendering is for free?

Hope to be in the this new comunity, since i'm really impressed from what i've been reading and seeing.

if you want to work on vray simultaneously on 3 machines, youll have to buy 3 licenses. But what daelf was saying is that for network, 1 license is good for 10 render machines. Those 10 render machines can have as many cpus as you want. Thats for distributed rendering. one cpu renders one bucket. For normal netrendering, its unlimited, ie one computer renders one frame. Im not sure, but I dont think theres another renderer that is that generous.
