No response from rogue DR node...

Hey everyone.

I'm having a problem with one of our render nodes here with the Vray Spawner. It was working fine two days ago, then yesterday we had to re-install Max. I reinstalled Vray afterward and now, no matter what I do, the spawner starts and runs with no problems, no errors in any of the logs, and my workstation can detect it when I search for servers... but whenever I try to send something to it, I get nothing -- the icon next to the name turns blue, but there's nothing in the Status column. Nothing shows up in the log to indicate it even received a file, let alone any error it may have caused.

I'm completely baffled. I can't take the time to wipe the machine clean and rebuild it, and the same deadlines preventing me from doing that are making living without that node hell. I'm sure y'all know the situation. Anyone have similar problems? Any suggestions I could try?

have the same problem over here, but worst than you, i couldnt even have it working for a while, i have everything ok as you, i have in DR settings the server machine recognized and i can send renders trough backburner, so, the conection its ok, but when i ask for DR, nothing happen instead of a message saying about a error in host machine.
some guys here wich had this problem have deleted files on network folder and for them it works, but i still keep in the darkness without a solution for the problem

Silver ... his problem will be different to yours i think due to the fact he is on v1.09.03m... and DR is different

Man, this is the stuff that has scared me away from network-anything since I was a wee one. Well, for kicks I tried deleting everything in the Projects folder... now I can't seem to get the server to show up in the server list. Ahhh! It only gets worse!
