New vray only running with 25 % and 27 % of my CPU usage …
    With nothing else running…
On a scene with no Gi …and glossy reflections.
Anyone have an answer for that?

    Thanks

Rebooted twice and am back to 100%

Which VRay version? Which 3dsmax version? Are there any particular VRay features in the scene (displacement etc)? What is your machine (type and number of CPUs)?

    Best regards,

Ok it’s a Dule 3.06 Xeon ..4 gigs of ram with the 3 gig switch
      No displace…regular lights vray shadows…
Glossy reflections.. With Use interpolations checked in the Glossy ness…
And I’m using vary adv. 1.46.04
I had copied max and have .MAX 6 sp1 .both copies of vray on this BOX…

      Thanks for the Quick response….

      On another note….
Were using displace for another scene..vray 1.09 and it renders the first frame fine than it goes to the next ..and it crashes…
Does vary Cash the displace info ….
Maybe its running out of ram…
Is there a way to tell it to dump that info .?
Dule 3.06 Xeon ..4 gigs of ram with the 3 gig switch
But the first question is more important…

Are you sure you have the Multithreading option ON in the Customize>Rendering options of 3dsmax?

Does the same displacement scene crash with 1.46?
