  • Material Editor 1.46.05 - controlling lighting?

Is it possible to change the preview lighting in the material editor?

Adjusting the multiplier in options doesn't do anything when Vray is the renderer.

My materials look very dark in the mat.ed. and I was hoping to turn up the brightness a bit.

davison, I've wished for this forever. Haven't seen it updated yet but it's probably far down on the list. Maybe it's a limitation of Max though?

Umm, Natty that doesn't do anything for my Vray materials. Does it work for you?

Thought I had seen it working with VRay in the past. Maybe it's changed from build to build?

But the light Mult has never worked, I check every new build to see if it's one of those quick little fixes Vlado does sometimes.

                Hi!

If I remember correctly Vray does not use the ambient component.
