  • backburner 2 problems

    hello all
I'm using 5 comps on my render farm and one of them is not being able to connect to the manager
i get an "errror 0000274d conecting to user" (user is the name of the server) on my manager
does anyone know what to do about it?

check the permissions on that server for a start
if you are running XP make sure they are all set to full control for the backburner folder
    regards

it maybe from the ip address if the two(manager to server) is not on the same ip address it could give you an error message. be sure that from the backburner server or manager is the same ip address by doing this
edit/general setting and on the right hand side there is a enter manager name or ip address here dont set the ip address stuff to automatic search you have to obtain the same ip address number in this server backburner and manager general settings

0000274D means a "Connection refused" error so its not seeing each other because of this . so its not a software issue.
by the way when you go to the backburner/monitor section when you setit up on the same ip address you should be seeing the computer names on the right lower side. if not that means no matter what it wont render the scene.
