    Is there a way of making an object emit GI but lower its saturation?
    It happens a lot, to have a wooden floor that turns the walls green due to color bleeding.
    If i lower the 'Generate GI' it will not bleed as much, but it also turns the scene a lot darker. Same happens with displaced grass.

    Any ideas, or is this just the way it's meant to be?

    there is a setting in the newer builds, I think 1.45+ that controls color bleeding from gi. Look under the GI section if you are using the newer builds. IF not, dont think there is something.

      you can always do the IR calc with a whiteish material on the wood. And then render with that saved IR map.

      or.. just use a newer build

        I've got a lot of projects started in 1.09.03r... can't afford to change now and go through the panic of things not working so well.
