  • Help with ir map !

    Please, help-me guys!

There´s a first image of an animation:

    Times:

    Render with irmap calculation: 2:39
Render with irmap (file) from single frame: 2:19
Render with irmap (file) from multiframe 1-100: 3:15
Render with irmap (file) from multiframe 1-1800: 5:47

When irmap is longer in frames, is bigger my render time, why?

    There´s my settings:

    Thanks in advice

    mmm that is weird.

Try "incremental add to current map" instead and see if that helps.

It is probably due to load time, how big is the 1-1800 map? Are you pulling it over a network?

        RErender: Sizes:

        Single: 250kb
        Multiframe 1-100: 450Kb
        Multiframe 1-1800: 8Mb

well I´m using gi low, and my irmap is 8mb only... I discard the network problem because these values are tested in a single machine...

DaForce: I already do the test with incremental add to current map and the size of irmap are exactly the same, I didn´t render with it so far, I´ll try tomorrow, but appears not be the problem...

Is there another test to do?

        Anyway, thanks a lot, guys.

          Just to complete:

I´m not using vraylights, just 70 spots and a direct with vrayshadows.

My glossy material aren´t interpolated, so, there isn´t a pass before render.

Longer rendering from saved irradiance map

I found this issue some months ago, rendering from saved irradiance map was about 3x longer than computing map and rendering it again from a scratch.
It seemed that irradiance map was corrupted somehow. It was set to multiframe instead of incremental.

I rendered it again with lower quality of irradiance map again and it was fine.

              ?

Well, my english is so far of good...

I don´t undestood very well, Do I need to use "add incremental to current map" AND decrease the quality of irradiance map?

              Cheers
