Pretend for a minute money means nothing, what video card would everyone recommend? I'm working on a scene right now with millions of poly's and my 256MB NVIDIA 3000 can't handle it anymore.

How's about the new 3DLabs Realizm 200 (for AGP) or 800 (for PCI)... they've tested out as the fastest AGP graphics cards, and the 200 has 512 megs of ram (the 800 has 640 megs!).

I was actually looking at those. Are they considered to be the best available?

what about a nvidia quadro 4300? then you can use the Galatio rendering too.

As far as I know, it is the fastest AGP graphics card on the market right now. I'm looking at getting one of the Realizm 100's at some point soon. It will be interesting to see if any reviews of it come out, now that the big push is PCI-E.

ya, I'm thinking about getting the Realizm 200. The 800 looks insane but I done have a PCI Express slot on my machine.
