  • Trouble with big scenes - and backburner

    Hi...

I have a animation scene of around 4 million polys... renders out pretty quickly (approx 3 mins a frame with GI and all). The weird thing is that every second time bacburner assigns a frame to the network renderer - it comes back with an unhandled exeption and crashes, and every other it works fine. This means that backburner needs two try's to get my frame out, and thereby doubling my rendertime.

I have a feeling it might be something with Max not "being ready" for the next frame - a RAM thing or something like that.

    Anyone experienced anything like this?

My system is a Dual Xeon 3 Ghz with 2Gb RAM - Vray 1.46.08
