  • Vray problems with renderfarms

I have noticed that when i am using vray proxies trough the lan (not locally) many times the backburner returns an error a few minutes after max is launched, it hangs on building dynamic.... and then give me an error about the network name is no longer available. Maybe there is a bug when two or more machines are trying to access to the same file in the network? as happens with the saved imaps

    thanks

Hmm, Possibly.. I've been treating our Vrmesh's as textures, and copying them to all the farm local machines... an annoying workaround, but a way to continue around your problem

yes, finally i resolved the problem in that way too, could be great that max understood the vray meshes as texture to include them into the backburner packet

Where, locally are you saving the vrmesh files? We are experiencing the same problem
