VRay builds 1.46.xx up to 1.46.09 will crash 3dsmax on start if the month of the current computer date is January.

A quick patch for this, 1.46.10, is available on our site:
    http://www.vrayrender.com/login/

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. We hope this has not caused too much damage. Let us know if there are other problems.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

In full work, everythink is lost.
Max had to be reinstalled and wait for a new code....

    No, no,no,no..... It's not a good joke !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't reinstalle Vray hope it will work with this new patch.
I have a job to finish before the end of the week...

If I had looked at my mail box before, I thought max was the cause
    because it could'nt restart.
I did trust Vray, that very very very, very ...!

Of course, I accept your apologies, you're so good with us.
So no problem, just a bad joke...
(the download page is not available). I wait

There is a problem when all files are in one folder as this way the loading of each and evey one of them is pretty random. You need to have those in different directories and make sure the vrender60.dlr files are loaded first, so the whole VRAY engine is initialized properly. Then have the rest loaded.

Thus, put VRender60.dlr into the standard plugins folder, as usually those are loaded first( depends on the plugin.ini file plugin directory order)

Then have the rest of the plugins in a different directory, that is being loaded later. You can assure this by editing the plugin.ini file. Enter this directry AFTER the "Additional MAX plug-ins" directory.

Usually this is done by the installation, so no manual editing is required.

          ok i have moved the
          vrayraw60.bmi
          and
          VRender60.dlr
          in the plugins DIR.
          the ini file shows OK

            where are these files (vrayfur60.dlo , vrayplane60.dlo
) and is their directory listed after the default max plugins directory?

do you have the vray60.dll file in the max and are yuo sure you have VRender60.dlr loaded?

make sure all files originate from a particular vray-version and some of them were not left from previous installations.

-fur, plane and toon are in C:3dsmax6_vray_betapluginsvrayplugins
-VRender60.dlr and vrayraw60.bmi are in the plugins DIR
-vray60.dll is in max root and are 516 kb big

              the ini looks like this

              Standard MAX plug-ins=C:3dsmax6StdPlugs
              Additional MAX plug-ins=C:3dsmax6plugins
              V-Ray additional plug-ins=C:3dsmax6_vray_betapluginsvrayplugins

and the 126 are still here....
