  • 3D Model Libraries

Hello everyone. I'm afraid this is not strictly a vray topic.

I am putting together a 3D model of some apartments and I need to fill them up with some modern furniture and stuff.

Does anyone know where I can get some highly detailed, modern models?

Do you guys model everything or do you buy some stuff in?

Usually depending on the amount of time I have on the job and what the client wants to see determins whether I buy or build furniture. I have a few minks on my site to either pay or free sites that your welcome to have a look at.

        Hi Natty,

The simple answer is - everything.

I have to put together some modern looking apartments so they need modern furniture. I also need all the little bits that go with it. Electrical goods, kitchenware, bathroom stuff, etc. Do you know if there's any libraries out there I can buy that's just general household. It has to be modern looking though.

I've looked on 3Dcafe and it's all a little old fashioned really.

I am just looking through the links on the site Dave posted and there seems to be some pretty good stuff there. Not just models either. Thanks Dave.

keep in mind, I believe the e-interiors site's does not give permission for commercial work, only personal. Least last time I checked anyways.

                      It's tricky one to decipher,

"Personal use" includes use of the Materials in connection with your buisness for the purposes of making presentation to existing or potential clients or customers but includes no other buisness or commercial use whatsoever.
Sounds like it could be ok for us Acht Viz guys if the furniture is actually in the design since it is for presentation to a potential buyer but not if they were just used as props.

                        Hi,

Sounds more like "Ok for your rendering presentations", after all
it is a free ad for the furniture designer.Even when a presentation is a in house one.
But no further use is allowed, like
selling the meshes or compille them in a cd collection.
                        Best regards,
