Yes, I agree things have gone downhill around here, I have tried to talk Goncalo into coming back but he has noticed the change and wants no part of it...Your right that it is up to us to be part of the solution or not. But still the fact is that Trapezium was not out of line, and if you wished to extrapolate for him that would have been fine and this would have been just another happy helpfull thread.

Percy: Name change, sorry, I had mentioned it in a few threads but to make a long story short it involves a forgotten password, a reformatted machine and my original e-mail being assigned to a guy with the same initials and last name as me when my company merged with another. He has since left and our WAN Admin is way to busy to hear I want it changed for a rendering forum

Didn't the wording change for this a few builds ago? Is the old wording back then? Or are you using 1.09.xx?

You know what this thread has made me think of. We as a community should put together a page that will answer all easy repeated questions. Post the link as a sticky in big bold letters.

This can cover hdri loaded questions, how to make something transparent, etc etc. I know that the search feature is there, but alot of new people dont use it. And at least if there is a common place with these simple answers, we can point the person in the right place without posting to another thread.

No I'm not going to give everyone editing rights on the site and have a bunch of my renderer is better than yours people come in and mess around. But anyone interested in contributing can email me on contact@vray.info and I'll consider it on a case by case basis. I'm not saying I'll be really picky, I just like to know who I'm letting publish stuff. Quality control if you will. BTW natty, you already have access
