Responsive software developers. Dealing with AutoDesk to fix things is a waste of time. Thank you to Chaos Group, that continues to work with, listen, and tries to help it's members.

    I agree 1000%.

Whenever I get pissed off at some other software developer (Autodesk, Adobe, Intuit, etc.) , I just think it doesn't have to be this way. I think of Chaos Group as a model of how customers should be engaged and their requests at least considered. I have been suggesting important improvements over at AD for YEARS -- and reporting BUGS for YEARS - and nothing is done on at least 75% of the issues.

Same here. Wanted to say thanks to Vlado and his team for taking care of us. Feeling appreciated and not just a sale number.

Same here, for some giggles I've been reporting a particular reproducible bug with Maya every few months since 2011. THey get back to me saying it'll be fixed occasionally, but here we are 6 years later and it's not fixed. It's a tool too that was introduced as a "new feature" but it doesn't actually work due to a simple bug in the code but they aren't capable of fixing it...

Meanwhile, report a bug in the Chaos Group forums and within a week it's usually fixed in the nightlies. It's night and day and super thankful that the devs are here and making our lives easier! Thanks Chaos!

At work, we talk often about how awesome Chaosgroup devs are. We've had a serious bug with 3ds Max for 4 years now, a bug that I've logged several times and talked to an Autodesk dev twice about, the last time saying "This is already on our list, it will be fixed in the next release". Years later, no fix and our workflow remains crooked. We don't submit bug reports anymore because they never get fixed, we have lost faith in Autodesk to fix problems. But Chaosgroup? You send them an email and you get a reply within a day or two (at most) with a fix or example scene. You get access to nightlies. At a bare minimum, you get a response from a human. It's SO refreshing. Keep it up ya'll.
