    Hey,

Vray tells me i need a server address for it to work. I emailed chaos and they said to read the license aggreement. I found no clues in there.

What does it take to get it working?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, because sometimes i am.

    This should help http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/VRay...ensingvray.htm

basicly just start VRLServer.exe(root of max) on the machine that you want to host the license on, and send the request code to Chaos, then when you get the auth code put it into the VRLServer and keep it running then when you start V-Ray put in the machine name or ip address of the computer running the VRLServer. I prefer tthe computer name since my IPs are assigned dynamicly here.

      Thanks rerender!

I think ive finally got it.
I would have thought they would make it more automatic but i dont know programming so i wont critize. lol

Im glad knowledgeable people bought vray licenses to keep posting here. Kinda scared me when i got the email saying all crack vray people are not allowed to post anymore. First question that popped into my head was "who the hell is going to help me now??"

I guess they've done it that way because in many cases people want to run the VRLServer on a separate server (for instance if you have several licenses in a studio), this way you can place it where you want to run it.

          I guess that makes sense.

However, i read the posts on the activation process and running it. I have yet to recieve the code but I sure hope i dont run into problems getting it going.
Ive turned off all firewalls but my router is a pain and I hope it doesnt give me problems.

          I wait, nervously.
