  • Lens effects for animations?

Anybody have an idea on how to include lens effects bloom and glare in animated image sequences? I'm using RT GPU and the stand alone denoiser (SAD), but the SAD doesn't support lens effects yet.

So my options, as I understand them, are to:

    1. render longer using a noise like .005 instead of the 0.1 noise I can currently get away with using the SAD, and not use the SAD.
2, render even longer using cpu render
    3. ?

Anybody have any ideas? I'm trying to figure out a solution to include bloom in glare in animations, with out flicker. TIA

EDIT: I wonder if it's possible to use the denoiser at render time on the single image (not SAD) because this supports lens effects, and maybe using BF+BF might produce a flicker free animation? Eventhough there was not a frame blend denoise applied? Anyone know?

I might be wrong, but I think you can and have to denoise the lens effect render element in post with the denoiser info that you render out...

what about having lens effects on separate layer/node? you can render separate bloom/glare passes and remove RGB (undenoised) from them - there should be zero noise there.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to give those some testing and see if they work out.

I thought of something, I might still get flicker.
