  • adv, vs rt cpu vs rt cuda on cpu

given a scene that renders fine on all three, which should render faster?

    Heya Gnu,

Does "rt cuda on CPU" mean hybrid rendering? That's the only way I know to send RT/GPU rendering data to a CPU...

If so, then when using all available CPUs and CPUs, it has been always faster here...so far, anyways...

yeah cuda on cpu is rt gpu using the cpu.. however my point (i know rt gpu using the gpu and cpu is faster)

was, which produces an image quicker *only on the cpu* i.e. if you did hybrid rendering with the gpu disabled..? or in rt cpu, or vray adv?

id guess that adv was the most optimised...

it would be fairly easy to test, but ive got a deadline in 2 days...

Yes, I'd also guess that the GPU code was more optimized for GPUs than CPUs...perhaps Vlado has a comment...
