  • what is correct workflow for aniamtion with photonmap?

    I want to use photonmapping as secondary bounce for animation but I'm not sure about the workflow. how I should do this?
    With ir I'm saving vrmap for every few frames and then render images taking vrmap from file. Now how to do it with photon map. I should send photon map to calculate and save as file every few frames, same as ir or calculate it separately save it and set the path for final rendering to both vrmap and photonmap? I'm totaly lost.

    The photon map is view-independent; in the case of fly-through animations, you can calculate it only once and save it.

    After that, you can do the normal irradiance map things (rendering every 10th frame etc) with the same photon map.
