  • Render Region Warning - Distributed Rendering

I don't ever remember getting a pop up warning when doing a region render with distributed render on.... is this something new in 36002? Just curious why it's there and what problems it could be trying to prevent....

With render farm manager like RPM or Vexus, you can turn off render region automatically when submitting.

Ok, but why is there a warning for rendering a region with distributed rendering?

Well for instances like mine where Ill set up a scene and hit render and walk away for an hour or two to do something else only to come back and find out that Ive rendered a tiny part only and just wasted a ton of render time...

So it saved you from rendering just a region and not the full image as wanted...

Anyway, I'm also interested to know the reason why for this disclaimer. Just curiosity.

Pretty much yes, there has been a few times I personally have forgotten to turn off region and wasted a ton of productive render time.
