  • DR Renders Parts of Old Scene

    Hello,

So I am just starting out with distributed rendering. The other day I used it to render out an image just fine. But today while trying to render an image from a completely different scene, when I turn on DR, the slave machines are all still rendering buckets that are from the old scene. In DR settings I have used cached assets off, and transfer missing assets off. I have also tried it with both on, but get the same results. How does this work?

    thx

I would reboot everything and see if that resolves it, I use DR a lot and ``usually`` have little or no problems and as far as settings go I only have ``Restart servers on render end`` and ``Transfer missing assets`` on.
    Cheers,
    -dave

Which V-Ray version is this? Could you restart the spawner on the slave machine and check whether the issue still persist?

I installed the latest update for VRay this morning and now the old scene is not rendering. Instead the rendered image is mostly white now, so I think this is because the scene is made up of xrefs and the slaves can't find them. In the scene, the paths to the xrefs are relative to the 3ds max project folder. Do I now need to have absolute paths?
