  • Vray Lens Effects. Save settings?

Is it possible to save settings used in Vray Lens Effects so they can be reloaded and applied to a different render pass?

I'm afraid we do not have that functionality.
Will make a note about it into our system.

With every scene being different and with the way Lens effects are resolution dependent I don't see this being very usefull I have never used the same Lens effects settings AFAIK.

Well, yes and no. Here, for a given client, each project uses similar elements (furniture, spots, lighting conditions ...), using presets would be very useful. Like for so many other things, some users will find it useful, whereas others won't even notice it exists because they don't need it. Classical
I'd even go further: if each scene requires different Lens Effects settings, then there might be a problem somewhere IMHO, may it be with Lens Effects themselves or anything else. That should be much more reusable.

Svetlozar, another thing I'd love to see in the Lens Effects interface is spinner functionality like in Max-proper. You know, right-click to zero-out, mouse drag up and down and all that. Also, when you enter numbers the focus should stay on them so that you can change them very easy, like in Max where you simply type in new numbers and it overwrites the old ones.

These sorts of interface features do wonders for overall productivity (especially when there can be many adjustments to get things looking good), and were very important when (as an Autodesk User-Adviser to the Yost Group) we put together Max's original User Interface.

And of course it goes without saying that any plugin is easier to use when it acts basically like Max's interface does.

                Many thanks in advance!

                -Alan
