  • backburner render error

    Hey everyone.

We've been trying to send our irradiance maps as well as full renders to single nodes through backburner, however they keep restarting on me. The only error the queue manager reports is "Task timeout (50 minutes)", so I guess it's just giving up on the render -- but I can't find anywhere to change this! I assume there must be, otherwise backburner is useless except for animations.

    We're using 3ds max 6.

    Thanks guys!

If you right click on backburner job... scroll down to TIMOUT parameter and change it... or while submitting Network Job click on ADVANCED and see timeout value there...

ha HA! Great, thanks man. Don't suppose anyone knows a way to do this by default? Does the manager or server set this?

That'd be wonderful, but this should fix our problem regardless. Thanks!

If you are not running manager as service i think you can set default in settings... but for me ones changed values remained until now...
I am not sure but maybe have a look in backburner.xml

yep, I only had to change them once as well. just set a huge number for the timeout setting like 99999
