  • IES lights-Shadows not showing properly

    Hi All,

I am having an issue with the IES Lights in 3DS Max Vray. There seems to be some sort of shadow surrounding the lights. I am using IES Lights but also for Visibility I am using Disc Area Lights that do not cast any shadows. Is there anyone that has had this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix something like this?

    Thanks
    Bernard

    Hi,

Would it be possible to attach or send to support@chaosgroup.com part of the scene for investigation ?
Perhaps there are shadows generated by the Disc lights positioned in front of the IES lights. Can you try to remove all Disc lights from the scene just for a test ?

      Hi,
the file is a bit large so I could not add here, but I have attached a link with the file being on drop box.

I have not included any maps, since it is just a test on white plain white/grey material. Thanks for any help. Bernard

        This is V-Ray 3.60.03/max 2017
What is the configuration that you are using? Maybe we need the assets to replicate your result.
