vray light vs standard max/viz light

Hello all,

I have a question regarding vRay light vs. Max/Viz lights.

I am currently doing a large interior space and i have the lighting the way i want it and well im using 50 viz lights non speherical.

I rendered out a rendering last night at 2500 x1500 medium settings 2 ir passes and well.... its took 6 hours...

does this seem about right?

are max/viz lights faster to render?

was wondering what lights would be faster to render ?

oh btw

ohh forgot to give my system specs

Dual Xeon 3.0 ghz
4 gigs ram using 3 gig switch.

if you are wondering why your scene takes so long to render it, it doesn't come down only to light settings, there are material and render settings to adjust too.

If you can post a sample image of your scene, it would be much easier to see what might cause the problem.
