  • How do you guys do specific plants/flowers?

We often get plants specified for a render that are very specific - i.e. use this flower centerpiece from manufacturer A, use this floral arrangement by manufacturer B. To model all of these would be a nightmare. I've tried billboards with some success, but they always seem to look a bit fake and are the biggest giveaway that this is a render.

Any tips/tricks/suggestions for how you create things like this? Thanks!

I get those requests on almost all projects. Once I quote the piece they agree to find something close.

Yea, I've stuggled to find any good libraries that are close, or represent real-world floral arrangements. Evermotion probably has the best I've seen yet, but even those have limited usage. Have you found any good libraries out there?

I like the maxtree.org ones, but outside of that if there is something specific, I'll model it myself in growfx.
