  • Max Threshold vs Image Passes

I have a max noise threshold of 0.02. That noise threshold was met, so why does the scene continue to render additional passes? It really adds to the render time.

When the final threshold is set, it doesn't mean that it's met. It just means that it will be used to determine which pixels need more sampling. The rendering finishes when all pixels have reached the threshold or the max samples.
